Oticon Zeal: Built for Maui Living
From paddling out at Kihei to dinner in Lahaina, you deserve to catch every word. Oticon Zeal is rechargeable, IP68-rated, and packed with the same flagship AI sound processing as Oticon’s top-tier hearing aids, in an in-the-ear design that’s tough enough for island life.
Why It Fits Maui
Three Reasons Zeal Works Here
1. It Survives Humidity, Sweat, and Salt Air
If you’ve lived here long, you know what humidity and salt do to electronics. Zeal’s solid-encapsulation construction seals the entire device into a single moisture-resistant body, earning the highest possible IP68 rating against dust and moisture. A sudden Hana rainstorm isn’t taking these out of commission.
2. It Disappears in the Ear
No behind-the-ear component, no visible tubing, no battery door. The shell sits deep in your ear canal and is, for most wearers, invisible from across the room. If you’ve been delaying treatment because you didn’t want anyone to notice, this is the device you’ve been waiting for.
3. It Lasts a Full Day on One Charge
Up to 20 hours of battery per charge — enough for a full day plus an evening out. No fumbling with tiny disposable batteries on the boat or at Haleakala summit. A quick 15-minute charge gives several extra hours if you forget to dock it overnight.

Under the Hood
What Makes Oticon Zeal Sound So Good
Hawaii is loud. Family gatherings, restaurants in Wailuku, outdoor markets, they’re wonderful, but they’re hard to hear in. Zeal uses the same flagship Sirius chip as Oticon’s top behind-the-ear hearing aid (Intent). That kind of processing power has never fit into something this small until now.
Always-On AI Noise Handling
A Deep Neural Network, trained on millions of real-world listening scenes, runs continuously to separate speech from background. The result: conversation in a busy restaurant stays clear without making everything else louder.
Bluetooth LE Audio Without the Bulk
Until Zeal, in-ear hearing aids almost never had reliable Bluetooth because there wasn’t room for an antenna. Zeal solves that with a clever triple-function antenna design, calls, music, and audio stream cleanly from iPhone and compatible Android devices. It’s also Auracast-ready for the next wave of public audio broadcasting.
Oticon Companion App
Adjust programs, change volume, find your hearing aids if they’re misplaced, and get remote adjustments from our team without making the drive to Kahului for every tweak.

Our Promise
A Conversation, Not a Sales Pitch
Hearing aids are personal. There is no single best device for everyone. Some patients walk into our Kahului office set on Zeal and leave with a different recommendation because their hearing profile or lifestyle calls for something else. That’s how it should be.
Our specialists will sit down with you, run a comprehensive hearing evaluation, and walk you through the options that actually make sense for your hearing, your activities, and your budget. If Zeal is right, we can often complete the fitting the same day thanks to the instant-fit modular design.
Maui Patient Questions
Common Questions From Maui Patients
Will Zeal work in the water?
IP68 protection means Zeal is highly resistant to moisture, sweat, and accidental splashes — but it’s not a swimming hearing aid. Remove it before swimming or showering. We’ll teach you the daily care routine at your fitting.
How small is small?
Zeal sits inside the ear canal in a contoured shell. Most family members and coworkers won’t notice it at all.
Do I have to live near Kahului to get good care?
No. Many of our patients live a good drive away. Zeal supports remote care through the Oticon Companion app, so most fine-tuning happens from your living room.
How long does the battery really last?
Manufacturer testing shows up to 20 hours per charge depending on streaming use. Most patients put them in the charger overnight and never run out during the day.
Is Zeal covered by insurance?
Coverage varies by plan. We’ll check your benefits for you and also offer low monthly payment plans to keep treatment affordable.
